Looking Up at Milwaukee's Architecture

While Milwaukeeans are rushing through the streets with their heads in their phones, there is a beautiful city of Germanic architecture standing by.

Not being from Milwaukee, one of the first things I noticed about this beautiful city was the character these buildings have. Whether the buildings are downtown or a little farther out, this 21st Century city has some strong 19th Century roots that can be told through their architecture.

Ryan Says He Won't Support Senate Immigration Bill

Congressman Paul Ryan says the House will take up immigration reform this fall, but he won't support the bill that passed the U. S. Senate.

The Wisconsin Republican spoke Friday to a business group in Brookfield.  He's been working largely behind the scenes on an alternative to the Democratic-backed Senate plan.

Ryan says his priorities are first securing the border, then moving forward with creating a way for people who aren't here legally to gain citizenship.

Carlton Reeves is on a pretty fast track here in Milwaukee, splitting his time between his studies as an engineering PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and serving as president of the company he founded, Reeves Technologies LLC. A product that he has developed is Tali Payments.
