UPDATE: Husband Charged with Killing Wauwatosa Police Officer

Jennifer Sebena's husband is being held on $1 million cash bond.

The 30-year-old husband of slain Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena was charged Thursday with shooting her to death on Christmas Eve, while she was on duty. Ben Gabriel Sebena is being held on $1 million cash bond.

According to the criminal complaint, Ben Sebena was jealous of his wife’s relationships with other men. He allegedly stalked her for several days before killing her, and allegedly had held a gun to her head a few weeks before her death.

Customers stream in and out of Carter’s Drug Store on 24th and Burleigh in Milwaukee.

The store is more than just a place to get a prescription filled, according to owner Lester Carter. He supplies everyone with healthy doses of respect and re-assurance. Those have been the ingredients of his figurative elixir, since he bought the business in 1967 after arriving here from Omaha, Nebraska.

Milwaukee Teen Led Brave Charge in Civil War Battle

The Boy Colonel, Arthur MacArthur, Jr. of the 24th Wisconsin Regiment.

While the Iron Brigade, and its Wisconsin regiments, get a lot of the glory due to their fierce fighting in the American Civil War, there were other Wisconsin regiments which showed their mettle in battle.

Perhaps no story drives that home more than that of Arthur MacArthur of Milwaukee at the Battle of Missionary Ridge in Tennessee, November 25, 1863.

The movie "Lincoln" has been nominated for 7 Golden Globes, but does it balance historical accuracy with its artistic vision?

Many people are looking back at the Civil War era, and not just because of the sesquicentennial – but because of one Steven Spielberg. The Hollywood icon’s latest film is “Lincoln,” which was just nominated for seven Golden Globe Awards. The film depicts the President’s efforts to get the 13th Amendment – ending slavery – through a contentious Congress. But, like all movies, it takes some artistic license at the expense of historical accuracy.

Weather Conditions as of 5 pm:

People across Wisconsin are coping with the season’s first widespread snowstorm. A Winter Storm Warning for all of southeast Wisconsin is in effect until 3 am Friday. The DOT is recommending no non-essential travel in areas west and north of Milwaukee.
