Shaun Miller is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A Milwaukee native, he is excited to have the opportunity to work with WUWM while reacquainting himself with his hometown. For the last two years, he has worked as an Editorial Intern for the Wisconsin Historical Society Press and as a Rights and Permissions Intern for the University of Wisconsin Press.

Currently, Shaun serves as WUWM's Marketing and Graphic Design Intern – editing and proofreading marketing materials, writing online posts, taking photos and representing WUWM at outreach events. He hopes to continue to work for a creative and informative company with a full-time job in the fall

Milwaukee artist Jessica Roush has been selected as the winner of the "My Sound World" T-shirt design challenge from NPR and Threadless. The winning design is available for purchase in the NPR Shop and at, with proceeds also benefiting WUWM.

The Pabst and Riverside Theaters will host three public radio live events this fall.

On Monday, September 9 at 8 p.m., listen to an original episode of Bob Reitman's  It's Alright, Ma,  It's Only Music  from June 30, 1968. View the playlist.

Following that, hear a 30-minute airing of Reitman's 1967 poetry showcase program, Sense Waves.

Starting Monday, July 1, 2013, WUWM will air the weekday news program Here & Now in its newly-expanded format. The program will air weekdays from noon to 3 p.m.

As part of its Project Milwaukee: Power Switch series June 10 - 14, WUWM hosted a public community forum discussing the promise and reality of green energy in Wisconsin.

WUWM has been recognized with 22 journalism and broadcasting awards for stories and interviews broadcast in 2012. The Associated Press (AP), Milwaukee Press Club, Wisconsin Broadcasters Association (WBA), and Northwest Broadcast News Association (NBNA) presented the awards.

Awards were given in a variety of categories including: Investigative, Newscast, Feature, Series, Interview and Commentary. The awards cover broadcasts on WUWM News and Lake Effect.
