State Assembly Repubicans will meet today to choose a new Majority Leader.

Wisconsin Assembly Republicans must choose a successor to replace Majority Leader Scott Suder.

Scott Suder held the second in command Assembly Majority Leader position since Scott Walker was elected Governor in 2010. The Governor has appointed Suder to a position with the state Public Service Commission. Others vying for Suder's job include Assembly Speaker Pro Tem Bill Kramer of Waukesha and Rep. Dean Knudson of Hudson. The Majority Leader is responsible for scheduling bills and directing action during debate.
