Camp Yellow Ribbon

Ann-Elise Henzl

As we near the end of summer, kids are returning from camp.

Last Friday for instance, children in Oconomowoc reunited with their families. These young people are used to being separated from parents, because their mothers, fathers – or both – are in the military.

WUWM’s Ann-Elise Henzl visited the Easter Seals’ Camp Yellow Ribbon, for Wisconsin children of military families. She chatted with 11-year-old “Bug” Danick, 12-year-old “Scream” Marincic, 11-year-old “Jazz” Johnson, and 9-year-old "Scorpion” Texidor.

Ann-Elise is WUWM's news director.
