Ex Fabula: Take A Chance

Art Montes
Storyteller Angela Wimberly

As 2017 comes to an end we look back at this past year and set new goals for the year ahead. So, in the spirit of new beginnings, we leave 2017 with two stories by women who decided to take a chance on something new.

When Angela Wimberly was on a military assignment overseas, she was invited to Switzerland for a weekend ski trip. Never having skied before, Angela was rather trepidatious. In fact, she backed out
several times before finally making it to the top of the mountain. Once there, she wasn't sure if she could hurl herself down the slopes.  Listen to Angela's adventure, to learn if she risked it - and if she made it back in one piece.

Storyteller Kennita Hickman

When Kennita Hickman sets a goal, she sees it through. So when in May she decided that she would leave her job by July, she got busy networking.

When a friend sent her a job lead for an amazing non-profit organization, Kennita thought it was too good to be true. Convinced she wouldn’t be qualified, she applied for the job anyway. Why not take the chance?  Find out how the story ends, by listening here:
