Friday on Lake Effect: Milwaukeeans Discuss Lessons Learned from Ferguson, Kandinsky

Aug 22, 2014

Friday on Lake Effect:

Two weeks after the shooting of an unarmed African-American teenager by a white Missouri police officer, the repercussions are still being felt as far away as Milwaukee. We convene a community panel to discuss what lessons Milwaukeeans should take from a shooting hundreds of miles away. Later, the art of creating art exhibits – we’ll talk with the exhibit designer behind the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Kandinsky exhibit. Plus, a preview of the Artbeat the Heat festival on Saturday, and the latest installment in the series, Listening to Mitchell.

  • Kenneth Harris, Claire Van Fossen, Amante Gray, Keith Stanley, Tracy Johnson, and Angela Walker, round table discussion
  • Brady Roberts and David Russick, Milwaukee Art Museum
  • Annie B, Artbeat in the Heat
  • Listening to Mitchell
