Friday on Lake Effect: U.S.-Cuba Relations, Guitar Festival, and 'Since You Never Asked'

Friday on Lake Effect:

We bring you the latest update the long story of Waukesha and its effort to tap into Lake Michigan. Then, relations between the US and Cuba continue to thaw, which upsets a few people, but it’s met with a shrug from many others. Plus, when more than 400 black men and boys wore tuxedos to an event in December – it was a remarkable day for them, but also a photographer that documented their day. We’ll preview the Guitar Festival at Latino Arts and debut a new series from Lake Effect essayist Jonathan West called, “Since You Never Asked.”

Guests:

  • Susan Bence, WUWM’s Environmental Reporter
  • Art Cyr, Carthage College
  • Sara Stathas and Dan Simmons, Milwaukee Magazine
  • Dinorah Marquez and Ivan Resendiz, Latino Arts Guitar Festival
  • Jonathan West, Contributor and essayist
