Thursday on Lake Effect:
Milwaukee celebrates the 95th birthday, and legacy, of the iconic South African leader Nelson Mandela, who remains in the hospital with a lung infection. We’ll talk with Alderman Joe Davis Jr., the South Africa Honorary Consul for Wisconsin, and his wife Magugu Davis, a native of South Africa. We’ll also hear what it was like to sing at Mandela’s inauguration from a member of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Then, we talk with Chicago writer Michael Harvey about his newest novel The Innocence Project, and learn about Three Bridges Park in the Menomonee Valley, which opens this weekend.
