Iraq War Veteran Sebena Convicted in Wife’s Death

Benjamin Sebena could spend the rest of his life behind bars, for fatally shooting his wife.

The Iraq war veteran pleaded guilty in the death of Jennifer Sebena, a Wauwatosa police officer. He is accused of killing her while she was on duty, early last Christmas Eve morning.

Sebena previously pleaded not guilty by reason of medical disease or defect. However, doctors who examined him said they did not believe the defense would apply, in his case.

Sebena faces a mandatory life sentence. Prosecutors plan to recommend the 30-year-old be eligible for parole in 50-60 years, according to the Associated Press.
