Leaders in Occupational Therapy & Assistive Technology at UWM

Tom Luljak, Ginny Stoffel and Roger Smith

One of the enormous benefits of having a top tier research university like UW-Milwaukee in the city is the direct impact research can have on regular people who are dealing with personal challenges.

On this edition of UWM Today, meet two UWM Professors who have established national reputations for their work in the field of Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology.

Associate professor Ginny Stoffel is just wrapping up a three year term as president of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Professor Roger Smith is president–elect of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of America.

It’s quite an honor for UWM to have two members of our faculty leading these large national organizations – both dedicated to making life easier for people with physical disabilities.

Tom Luljak hosted UWM Today on WUWM for more than two decades and is the inaugural host of Curious Campus.
