Monday on Lake Effect: Beats Me, Genopalate, Author Tony Macaulay, Tiger Moths

Monday on Lake Effect:

Reporter Rachel Morello answers a listener question about education in her newest “Beats Me” segment. Then, in an era of fad diets and pseudo-science, the founder of a new start-up wants to put your genome to work to help you decide what to eat. Tony Macaulay explains his work to stop the sectarian violence in his home city of Belfast in the 1980s, and we learn how a tiger moth’s ability to defend against its greatest predator has impacted its evolution.

Guests:

  • Rachel Morello, WUWM
  • Sherry Zhang & Laura Danner, Genopalate
  • Tony Macaulay, author, Little House on the Peace Line
  • Dr. Nick Dowdy, postdoctoral research fellow, Milwaukee Public Museum
