When it comes to the experience of eating out, everyone has their likes and dislikes.
Esquire magazine recently checked in with a list of its top food complaints of 2014 and it included a reference to Milwaukee.
"Well, they think we've gone a little too far with the Bloody Mary...I think pretty much everyone in Milwaukee would say that is not true, we have not gone far enough," Lake Effect dining contributor Ann Christenson says.
Christenson eats out a lot in her work as dining critic for Milwaukee Magazine, so it would follow that there are things that she encounters time and again that also frustrate, exasperate, or just puzzle her.
Lake Effect's Dan Harmon has some thoughts on the subject as well, so he and Christenson share their dining pet peeves.
One that tops the list is dining buzzwords. For restaurateurs who refer to some offerings merely as "protein," Christenson says, "it's a little vague, maybe it's a little pretentious and it's a little silly."
