National Governors Association Meeting Kicks Off in Milwaukee

The National Governors Association’s annual meeting begins Thursday in Milwaukee and will run through the weekend. Marge Pitrof, WUWM News Director, previews the agenda, which includes an initiative to hire more people with disabilities.

This initiative was created by the Association’s Chair Governor Jack Markell of Delaware – he says people with disabilities have “untapped talents” that can contribute to businesses and communities, and state governments need to help them overcome the various obstacles to getting jobs.
