Oshkosh Corp. Seeks Talks With Union

Oshkosh Corp. wants to extend its current union contract in an effort to gain a competitive advantage.

Military vehicle manufacturer, Oshkosh Corp. wants to extend its union contract for another five years.

Oshkosh Corp. hopes to win a contract to build a new tactical vehicle for the Army and Marine Corps starting in about three years.  That's about the same time its current labor contract with UAW Local 578 is scheduled to expire. The company says it needs to cut costs in order to beat other competitors for the contract.
