The Wisconsin Realtors Association says sales of existing homes in May increased 18.2 percent, compared to May of 2012.
The organization says May showed the 23rd consecutive month of sales growth. Median sale prices were up 4.3 percent statewide, to $144,000.
WRA board chair Renny Diedrich says consumer demand has been strong in the last couple of years, “but now we’re also seeing sellers jump back in the market.” Diedrich says the increased supply is expected to help moderate price increases.
