Rexnord will Move Corporate Offices to Milwaukee's Global Water Center
Rexnord Corporation already leases space in the Global Water Center but, this summer, will relocate corporate executives there, from West Milwaukee.
The center is a seven-story former warehouse in the Walker's Point neighborhood and now houses more than 30 water-related organizations. The center's mission is to foster the development of freshwater-related technology, for eventual conversion into businesses and jobs. It brings together under one roof researchers and industry.
Rexnord's move will bring occupancy at the center to 85%, according to The Water Council.
Council President and CEO Dean Amhaus says, "It is clear that global water technology companies are attracted to the Global Water Center to have first-hand access to entrepreneurs, researchers and students developing new technologies."
More than 15 international delegations have already visited.
