ShiSho: Quirky Pop From Teenage Sisters

When bands say they’ve been together for 10 years, you'd think of musicians in their 30’s, or older. This musical duo, however, just celebrated their 10 –year anniversary as a band at the tender ages of 17 and 14. They are sisters Vivian and Midge Ramone, and together they are ShiSho.

Hailing from Akron, Ohio, they’ve carved out a special niche all their own: acoustic punk-pop with often humorous lyrics that take on serious issues. Shisho recently stopped by the WUWM studio while in town playing for the Yellow Phone Music Conference and performed some songs.

Their latest release is The Sisters EP and they’re currently working on their first full-length album. Jon Strelecki for engineered this session.

 Featured songs:

"The Dead Milkman Song"

"Interactive Theater Art Piece"

"Ohio Man"
