Shot Fired on Milwaukee Freeway During Morning Rush Hour

Sheriff David Clarke attributes the incident to road rage, over who would enter the freeway first on U.S. 41, just north of I-94 Monday morning.

A motorcyclist reportedly fired a shot at a vehicle, shattering its passenger side window. The flying glass injured the driver, although not seriously.

Clarke says police arrested a 35 year old suspect walking away from the scene, after the motorcycle crashed into a median wall near Miller Park and a gun was found nearby.

He says the Milwaukee man may be charged with attempted homicide and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Deputies say the suspect was combative, when officers took him to the hospital for a blood test.

The incident occurred around 7:30 A.M. in the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 near Vliet Street and tied up traffic near Million Park for hours.
