Thursday on Lake Effect:
With a vote looming on Milwaukee’s proposed downtown streetcar project, we hear highlights from a forum on the plan, held earlier this week. We’ll hear what advocates believe is the promise of the project and how it might impact the community at large. We’ll also learn why some believe that even if the streetcar line is built, we should temper our expectations from it. Also on the show, the next chapter will soon be at hand for the iconic basketball court where the Milwaukee Bucks played in the 1970s and ‘80s.
Guests:
- Kevin Muhs, SE Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission; Rob Henken, Public Policy Forum; Jeramey Jannene, UrbanMilwaukee.com and Tom Barrett, Milwaukee Mayor
