It's been almost 20 years since the explosive, award-winning, and internationally renowned performances by Trinity Irish Dance Company have graced a stage at Irish Fest. But founder and artistic director Mark Howard is happy to return to the festival he says made it all possible.
"We have Riverdance to thank for being signed by the big agent," he says. "But Riverdance wouldn’t exist without Trinity Irish Dance Company, and I’m not sure that Trinity Irish Dance Company would exist without Irish Fest."
Many of the dancers in the company were trained at the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance, the Chicago/Milwaukee-based school Howard founded in 1981. And so it's only fitting they return this Saturday evening to perform on the Aer Lingus Stage, starting with this dance:
