Tuesday on Lake Effect: Great Lakes Challenges, Physicist John Mather, 'The Stars Beneath Our Feet'

Tuesday on Lake Effect:

A report released today by the US/Canadian International Joint Commission today looks at the challenges faced by the Great Lakes as well as some of the success stories in recent years. Then, we talk with Nobel-prize winning physicist John Mather about the James Webb telescope and why despite political squabbling, he’s not discouraged by current attitudes towards science. Writer David Barclay Moore took inspiration from the kids he taught in some of New York’s most challenged neighborhoods for his middle-grade novel The Stars Beneath Our Feet. Plus we'll hear a song from the Wisconsin/Illinois duo, Future Stuff.

Guests:

  • Lana Pollack, International Joint Commission
  • John Mather, NASA David
  • Barclay Moore, author, The Stars Beneath Our Feet
  • Thea Grace and Gabe Burdulis, Future Stuff
