Tuesday on Lake Effect: Low Paying Job Gains, Author Miriam Toews, Myths About Nature, Design

Tuesday on Lake Effect:

A new report shows the economic picture continues to get worse for residents of Milwaukee’s poorest zip code. We’ll hear about it and another report showing that the majority of employment gains in Wisconsin are among the lowest-paid jobs. Later, award-winning Canadian author Miriam Toews joins us ahead of her appearance in Milwaukee tonight. A new book by two local authors busts some commonly accepted myths about nature. And we’ll learn how design affects us all and how it’s being approached by the current generation of college students.

Guests:

  • Marc Levine, UWM Center for Economic Development
  • Miriam Toews, author, All My Puny Sorrows
  • Stacy Tornio and Ken Keffer, authors, The Truth About Nature
  • Mark Dziersk, LUNAR Design
