Tuesday on Lake Effect: Two Views of Police-Community Relations, Cincinnati's Example, Candy Making

Tuesday on Lake Effect:

Our Project Milwaukee series, To Protect and Serve, continues with a conversation about police-community relations with Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales.  Later, one member of a coalition of community groups talks about the long history of contentious police-community relations, and what the path forward might be.  We'll explore one possible blueprint - the experience of leaders in Cincinnati.  And on a sweeter note, we'll visit a nearly century-old candy shop in Wauwatosa, gearing up for a busy time of year.

Guests:

  • Alfonso Morales, Milwaukee Police Chief
  • Fred Royal, CC4QP/Milwaukee NAACP
  • Al Gerhardstein, civil rights attorney; Kathy Harrell, Cincinnati PD; Iris Roley, Black United Front
  • Jim Niemann, Niemann's Candies and Ice Cream
