New figures show Gov. Scott Walker's campaign raised twice as much as Mary Burke's, during the first half of 2014.
Both campaigns turned in finance reports on Wednesday.
The documents show Walker collected $8.2 million in campaign contributions from January through June. The Republican has $7.6 million cash on hand.
Democrat Mary Burke raised $3.6 million, and has $2.5 million cash on hand.
A statement from the Walker camp says the gap between the candidates’ cash on hand totals “shows the extraordinary enthusiasm behind” the governor’s campaign.
Burke’s campaign also issued a statement, saying her numbers reflect “overwhelming support” from “hard working Wisconsinites.”
Burke is a former state commerce secretary and Trek Bicycle executive. She will face Madison state Rep. Brett Hulsey in the Democratic primary on August 12.
