Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas' five year capital improvment plan includes major upgrades to the courthouse as well as heavily traveled roadways.A comprehensive study calls for upgrades to the Waukesha County Courthouse in order to meet current and future needs. A five year building plan released by the County Executive calls for the addition of eight new courtrooms adjacent to jail facilities as part of a new criminal court facility. Design work on the $36.4 million facility would begin in 2017. Other projects in the capital plan include widening North Avenue from two lanes to four lanes from 124th Street west to Pilgrim Road.
