Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas' five year capital improvment plan includes major upgrades to the courthouse as well as heavily traveled roadways.
A comprehensive study calls for upgrades to the Waukesha County Courthouse in order to meet current and future needs. A five year building plan released by the County Executive calls for the addition of eight new courtrooms adjacent to jail facilities as part of a new criminal court facility. Design work on the $36.4 million facility would begin in 2017. Other projects in the capital plan include widening North Avenue from two lanes to four lanes from 124th Street west to Pilgrim Road.
