Wednesday on Lake Effect: European Right-Wing Populism, Art Therapy, Helping Refugees Through Books

Wednesday on Lake Effect:

We examine the rise of right-wing populist movements in Europe, and how they compare to current politics in the United States. Then, how art therapists know that using art is helping their clients get through their mental health challenges. Plus, how a UW-Milwaukee professor is helping young refugees adjust to life in American schools by creating books.

Guests:

  • Irene Braam, executive director, Bertelsmann Foundation
  • Emily Nolan, Ashley Smallwood, and Caitlin Walsh, art therapists, Bloom Center for Art and Integrated Therapies
  • Lynn Sedivy, UW-Milwaukee
