Wisconsin will Require Unemployment Claimants to Register with Job Service

Starting Oct. 13, Wisconsin workers filing for unemployment compensation will have two weeks to register with the state's online jobs board.

The site, jobcenterofwisconsin.com lists thousands of positions available across the state. Reggie Newson, Sec. of the Dept. of Workforce Development says the state is acting to motivate unemployed workers to take advantage of the service.

Applicants must log onto the site and it will direct them to create an online resume. Employers will have access to those resumes.
