Clive Svendsen was recently named the director of the new Cedars-Sinai Regenerative Medicine Institute in Los Angeles, effective next month. He's currently the joint leader of the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center at the University of Wisconsin. He spoke with Mitch Teich. Svendsen's work focuses on the role of stem cell therapies in neurodegenerative disorders such as ALS. He will retain a consulting appointment in Madison.
Dr. David Weissman is a professor of medicine and the founder and director of the Palliative Care Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He spoke with Lake Effect's Stephanie Lecci.
Bruce Campbell is a head and neck cancer surgeon at the Medical College of Wisconsin - he's also the author of a blog called "Reflections in a Head Mirror." Over the coming months, he'll adapt some of the essays from that blog to radio essays on Lake Effect. He spoke with Mitch Teich.
