The City of Milwaukee is looking for ways to reward its workers – and keep them living in the city. Mayor Tom Barrett on Monday signed an ordinance into law that will provide two pay bumps – each 1.5 percent.

Milwaukee May Pay City Workers More, If They Live Here

City leaders want to encourage residency, now that state leaders have banned residency requirements

The City of Milwaukee may not force public workers to live here but might pay them more, if they do. The Common Council approved a resolution Tuesday, to reward employees who live in the city.
