Many people garden in the warmer months, growing anything from berries to beans. But beyond plants, how many of those people would also be interested in a year-round endeavor of producing their own fish?

An unassuming house on Euclid Avenue, built in the late 1800s, has gotten a face lift. Inside the Bay View home, its been transformed into the Heart Haus. 

Thursday will be bittersweet for some Hawley Environmental students. They’ll celebrate completing 5th grade, but leave behind a fledgling club and a project they helped create.

A couple of weeks ago, WUWM News visited a greenhouse on the city’s southside, where 7th & 8th graders manage an aquaculture system. They’re raising fish, using a natural filtering system that cleanses the water and grows edible plants along the way.
