Documentary Follows American Who Fought With Libyan Rebels

Point and Shoot

As the Milwaukee Film Festival continues this week, a new film documents an American’s behind-the-front lines story of fighting along with the Libyan rebels who overthrew Qaddafi.

This iteration of the festival has been around since 2009 – and director Marshall Curry’s Racing Dreamswas the film that started it all five years ago. The festival is honoring him this year with a tribute, and a screening of his latest documentary, Point and Shoot.

The recent film tells the unlikely true story of Baltimore native Matthew Van Dyke, who ended up fighting with the rebels who ousted Libyan dictator Muammar Qadafi.
