The Enduring Appeal of Puccini's Opera La Bohème

Florentine Opera Company

Even people who say they don’t like opera often fall in love with La Bohème.

The combination of glorious music, a love story, friendship, and the romance of the artist life in Paris have all combined to make Puccini’s masterpiece one of the most beloved operas of all time.  It premiered in February 1896 and since then has practically never left the stage.
