The All Peoples Church on 2nd and Clarke has just lost its pastor, Steve Jerbi, who is moving to California. We learn of the impact this white pastor has had on his overwhelmingly black congregation. Later, the kinship felt by the authors of two recent young adult novels and their characters. As the 7th annual MKE Punk Fest gets underway this weekend, we learn some unexpected things about Milwaukee’s punk rock scene in the 1970s and 1980s. And we remember theatre legend Barbara Cook, who died this week at age 89.
