Friday on Lake Effect: SHARP Literacy, 'A Billion Lives,' The Truth Booth, Apostle Islands Adventure

Friday on Lake Effect:

We examine how more than two decades of work by Milwaukee's SHARP Literacy have yielded some victories, but also some persistent challenges. Then, we speak with Aaron Biebert, the director of a documentary about the controversial vaping industry as it gets its North American premiere at the Pabst Saturday night. A mix of installations at the Lynden Sculpture Garden explore how we define what’s true, and we’ll take a road trip to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

Guests:

  • Lynda Kohler, SHARP Literacy; Rachel Morello, WUWM education reporter
  • Aaron Biebart, director and executive producer, A Billion Lives
  • Polly Morris, Lynden Sculpture Garden
  • Tommy Richardson, park staffer on Stockton Island
