The classic movie “Ghost” grossed over $505 million at the box office in the '90s, launched countless crushes on Patrick Swayze, made a hit out of "Unchained Melody," and, most recently, spawned a musical version.
"Ghost the Musical” played Broadway and is now on a national tour. It has a limited run in Chicago later this week, and one of the stars is a Greendale native.
Katie Postotnik plays the lead role of Molly in the musical, originated by Demi Moore in the film. Postotnik says the cast is performing today for a new generation of "Ghost" fans.
"Some people are seeing that show for the first time every day, and you want to give them as good a show as you did when you first started," she says. "So I think just reminding yourself of that every show and every day that it’s not about you – it’s about who you’re telling the story to."
The show opens tomorrow night at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre and runs through January 19th. If you miss it there, you can catch the same production on stage in Appleton in April.
