Every two years, the State of Wisconsin names one person to serve as Wisconsin’s Poet Laureate.
Serving as an ambassador for poetry throughout the state and beyond, the Poet Laureate is an important symbol of the value we place on this important part of our culture.
On this edition of UWM Today, we are honored to introduce you to Kimberly Blaeser, a UW-Milwaukee professor of English and Creative Writing and Wisconsin’s new Poet Laureate.
