The Milwaukee Ballet opens its 2015/16 season Thursday with a performance of the story ballet Dracula. It’s one of artistic director Michael Pink’s signature pieces.

Pink’s contract with the Ballet was renewed recently for another 5 years. "It's really been incredibly rewarding being here, and I know the future will be equally as rewarding," he says.

The Ballet is poised to not only present a full season of dance, but is taking the necessary steps to get the company in front of new audiences as well. Following his mission to adapt and move the company forward, Pink says, "we're running fast as always."

The Milwaukee School of Ballet is also moving full steam ahead with the new intake of a second company and the addition of a new executive director, Julia Glawe.

Pink says he is very excited for the Milwaukee Ballet's future, and remains thankful and enthusiastic for each new day his extended contract allows.

"Guess what? You can do anything in Milwaukee because it's an amazing city and there's such a wealth of talent here across the board everywhere," Pink says.
