Milwaukee Magazine Profiles the 'Flinty Toughness' of State Senator Leah Vukmir

Depending on the poll numbers you read, Donald Trump appears to be a Republican whose popularity is on the wane in Wisconsin and around much of the country.  But here in Wisconsin, one Republican's support has remained pretty constant – at least among her party’s faithful.

"She wasn't the most outward or magnetic or explosive person, but there was a certain flinty toughness in there that people like (Charlie) Sykes and other Republicans saw early on. She just has a habit of winning...and rising higher," says Milwaukee Magazine's Matt Hrodey.
