Sierra Guyton, a third grader at Clarke Street Elementary School was struck by gunfire Wednesday evening, while on the playground.
The 10-year-old remains on life support.
Police say she was caught in the cross-fire of a shootout.
Sierra is the second Milwaukee child bullets have struck in recent days. An 11-year-old girl was shot in an alley on the north side.
