Milwaukee's Bach Chamber Choir Continues Holiday Celebrations Into The New Year

bachchoirmilwaukee.com

Even though it’s the New Year, Christmas isn’t over. The twelfth day is January 6th.

So it’s completely appropriate – and seasonal – that Milwaukee’sBach Chamber Choirand Orchestra is preparing to perform its holiday concert this Sunday afternoon at 3 pm at the St. Joseph chapel on South Layton Boulevard.

The Chamber Choir is a volunteer organization, and has been around for more than 40 years. Its current director and conductor, Brian McLinden, hasn’t been with the choir quite that long, but it has been awhile.

He joins Lake Effect's Bonnie North in the studio to talk about the group's history and their wide range of musical performances.

"We've done opera choruses, we've done Broadway, we did a concert a number of years back with The Reedy Buzzards, which are a local bluegrass group," McLinden says." So we look for a whole wide variety of things to sing."

Audrey is a WUWM host and producer for Lake Effect.
