Milwaukee Public Schools will be closed Thursday, January 8, 2015, according to an announcement released Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday evening activities, including sports, are also canceled. All evening activities scheduled for tonight will still be taking place.
The district reviewed tomorrow's weather forecast and determined it is in the best interest of students to close schools.
MPS Central Services locations will remain open and all principals and assistant principals should report to their schools. And, the MPS Strategic Planning and Budget Committee meeting is still scheduled to take place.
