Over the summer many new restaurants have opened up around town. And if there is any area where that trend is especially concentrated, it is south of downtown.
Bay View is already a hot area for dining and nightlife, but between downtown and Bay View is Walker’s Point, which has seen fits and starts as it has come into its own, and transitioned away from a predominantly bar-focused area to a more dining-based, residential part of town.
The changes haven’t happened overnight, but the number of restaurants opening up has caught some by surprise, including Lake Effect’s Dan Harmon and dining contributor Ann Christenson.
Restaurants mentioned include Engine Company No. 3, Morel Restaurant and Movida.
