Positive Outlook For Hiring In Wisconsin

manpower.com

There's positive news in the Wisconsin employment picture. A quarterly hiring survey done by Manpower Group indicates that many Wisconsin employers believe they're going to be adding new staff in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The numbers have dipped slightly from the 3rd quarter, but are well ahead of where they were last year, and currently are fourth-highest in the country.

"From October to December, the fourth quarter of 2014, we're anticipating 24% of employers that we surveyed in Wisconsin are expecting to increase their payrolls. That's against 5% who are expecting to decrease payrolls, and 69% will remain static. This yielded a net employment outlook for the fourth quarter of 19%," says Chris Layden.

Layden is Managing Director for Experis, the professional division of Manpower. He went into greater detail on the data the survey produced with Lake Effect's Mitch Teich.
