Radio Chipstone: The Practicality of Physics

For many of us, physics is something that we are required to take in high school. And for many of us, we are sure it’s something we’ll never use it in real life. Well, staff member Steve Narf of the UW Madison Leonard R. Ingersoll Physics Museum says while the formulas and equations may seem daunting, physics is something we all experience.

In this edition of Radio Chipstone, contributor Gianofer Fields takes us into Narf’s workshop for a conversation about how he uses the exhibits to help students understand the basics and how they apply to everyday life:

Gianofer Fields studies material culture at UW-Madison and is the curator of "Radio Chipstone" - a project funded by the Chipstone Foundation, a decorative arts foundation whose mission is preserving and interpreting their collection, as well as stimulating research and education in the decorative arts.
