Scottish Band Dallahan Returns to Irish Fest

One of the bands we had in the studio this year during Irish Fest is the Scottish band Dallahan. The band is made up of Balázs Harmann (double-bass), Paddy Callaghan (button accordion), Ciarán Ryan (banjo/mandolin/fiddle), Jani Lang (fiddle), and Jack Badcock (guitar/vocals).

Since launching the band in December 2013, Dallahan has taken the traditional music scene by storm with unique arrangements of both original and traditional Irish tunes and songs. They have performed internationally and return to Milwaukee Irish Fest this weekend.

Ahead of their performance at Irish Fest, Dallahan came by the Lake Effect studio for a preview music performance and conversation, including the songs "When the Day is on the Turn," "Carrick A Rede," and the new tune "Logan Braes":
