Thursday on Lake Effect: Global Nuclear Disarmament, Complete Works of Shakspeare, Apocalyptic Novel

Thursday on Lake Effect:

An expert in global nuclear disarmament says we are making great progress in reducing the numbers of atomic weapons globally. But there are still more than 15,000 of them remaining between the United States and Russia alone. Then, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is having more fun than you might expect with the complete works of Shakespeare. And we learn about prize-winning author Emily St. John Mandel’s chilling, but not entirely bleak vision of civilization’s end.

Guests:

  • Joseph Cirincione, president of Ploughshares Fund
  • Chris Klopatek, Rick Pendzich, Chase Stoeger, and Marcus Truschinski, actors
  • Emily St. John Mandel, author
