Thursday on Lake Effect: New Tracking Poll, State of Education in Milwaukee

Thursday on Lake Effect:

A new tracking poll shows the majority of Wisconsinites think the state’s economic performance is only fair at best, but that the state is on the right track overall. Then, the Public Policy Forum takes a broad but close look at the state of education in Wisconsin's largest city. Writer Kathleen Ernst’s latest mystery tackles some big social issues in addition to murder. And musicians Peter Mulvey and Willie Porter say not knowing what’s going to happen when they step out on the stage at Fort Atkinson’s Café Carpe is the very thing that makes the yearly Lamplighter Sessions so memorable.

Guests:

  • Joe Cera, UWM Center for Urban Initiatives and Research
  • Joe Yeado, Public Policy Forum
  • Kathleen Ernst, author
  • Peter Mulvey and Willie Porter, singer/songwriters
