Tuesday on Lake Effect: Marijuana Laws Unevenly Enforced, Journal Communications & Scripps Merger

Tuesday on Lake Effect:

Following on the heels of national research, new work shows that marijuana laws are often unevenly enforced in Wisconsin, resulting in a disproportionate number of felony charges to African-Americans. Later, what will the merger of the Journal Sentinel's parent company with Cincinnati's E.W. Scripps mean for local control of the corporation? We'll get a review of the most extensive collection of unicorn art ever under one Milwaukee roof; and a visit with Italian chef Maria Liberati.

Guests:

  • Edgar Mendez, Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service
  • Rich Kirchen, Milwaukee Business Journal
  • Will Durst, essayist
  • Debra Brehmer, Portrait Society Gallery
  • Maria Liberati, author of The Basic Art of Italian Cooking - Da Vinci Style
