Turns Out The Movie 'Interstellar' Is Not So Stellar

interstellar-movie.com

For many people, their strongest connection to science is in the form of reading or watching science fiction.

However, Hollywood’s latest may not be included in the canon of classic science fiction films in the years to come.

The new film Interstellar dabbles in some interesting ideas and theories, and it has some interesting notions about the future of space travel.  Our film contributor Dave Luhrssen spoke with Lake Effect's Dan Harmon about the film and pointed out that Interstellar might not be pushing any scientific boundaries.

"So I think that all of this is really interesting stuff and I don't want to dismiss it, but I don't think that Interstellar is going to be thought of decades to come as being among the great classic science fiction films," Luhrssen says.

Dave Luhrssen is the entertainment editor for the Shepherd Express and author of its blog, I Hate Hollywood.

Dan Harmon was one of the original members of Lake Effect (formerly At Ten). He started at WUWM in November of 1998 and left December of 2015 after 17 years of production.
